Description
Refine your dishes with marjoram
The symbol of bliss – Our marjoram: Marjoram was already a symbol of bliss in ancient times, for Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and Arabs alike. Today, marjoram is one of the most popular herbs and a relative of oregano. Although the two belong to the same plant genus, they are nevertheless two different herbs with different aromas. Oregano is characterised by a rather tart aroma, while marjoram tastes spicy-sweet.
Marjoram goes excellently with many vegetable dishes and vegetable stews with pulses as well as with hearty meat and game dishes. Your mushroom sauces and risotto become more aromatic with the fine marjoram.
Marjoram can be cooked for longer. Towards the end of cooking, marjoram could be seasoned again with a touch of marjoram so that its splendid aroma comes out clearly.
Marjoram harmonises well with garlic, parsley, onion, bay leaf and thyme.
