Visually very appealing and delicious in taste – Our Pink Berries
Pink pepper berries (Schinus therebinfolius) are called red pepper, but they come from a different plant family. They are reminiscent of juniper berries and have a peppery-sweet taste with a fruity and slightly woody note. They are often used in colourful pepper blends.
Due to their intense red colour, the pink peppercorns are visually striking and are ideal for decorating dishes.
At Christmas, they are often used as Christmas decorations, which is why they are also known as Christmas berries. They are neither hot nor hard and firm like black pepper, but soft and light in weight.
